Câștigătorii MTV VMA 2021

Premiile MTV Video Music Awards au avut loc duminică seara în cadrul Barclays Center din Brooklyn, având-o drept gazdă pe Doja Cat.

Spectacolul a fost deschis de un clip înregistrat în care apare Madonna, artistă ce a marcat istoria VMA cu prilejul ediţiei inaugurale, din 1984, când a interpretat hitul ”Like A Virgin”.

”Au spus că nu vom rezista, dar suntem în continuare aici”, a declarat artista după ce şi-a făcut apariţia pe scenă, îmbrăcată într-un corset din piele neagră.

Lil Nas X a fost recompensat cu cel mai important premiu al serii, pentru cel mai bun videoclip al anului – ”Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” -, cu câteva zile înainte de lansarea noului său album preconizată pentru 17 septembrie.

”Mulţumesc agendei gay!”, a declarat tânărul în vârstă de 22 de ani, care a stârnit recent o controversă pe reţelele de socializare după ce a intrat în polemică online cu un guvernator american care i-a criticat videoclipul, în care artistul apare într-o secvenţă de lap-dance alături de diavol.

Spectacolul de duminică a fost prezentat de cântăreaţa Doja Cat, care a interpretat totodată melodiile ”Been Like This” şi ”You Right”, coborând din plafon într-un număr aerian.

Cel mai spectaculos moment a fost însă al lui Normani, care a interpretat ”Wild Side”. Vedeta muzicii R&B a impresionat prin coregrafia minuţios regizată, lansându-se într-un dans provocator alături de Teyana Taylor, ataşată de o platformă metalică, secvenţă care aminteşte de o interpretare a lui Janet Jackson.

Lil Nas X a lansat versiunea live a single-ului său ”Industry Baby”, pe care l-a interpretat alături de Jack Harlow şi de o fanfară.

Billie Eilish a prezentat momentul muzical al trupei Foo Fighters, mulţumind formaţiei, recompensate cu Global Icon Award, pentru că ”au dus mai departe flacăra rock and roll”.

Cântăreaţa Olivia Rodrigo a primit trei trofee, printre care premiul pentru cântecul anului, acordat melodiei ”Drivers License”, şi pentru cel mai bună cântăreaţă la debut.

”Sunt foarte recunoscătoare că pot face muzică, că pot face ceea ce-mi place şi că sunt fericită să pot spune că aceasta este meseria mea”, a declarat tânăra interpretă în vârstă de 18 ani, al cărei prim album, ”Sour”, a ajuns pe primul loc în clasamentele muzicale.

Justin Bieber a fost recompensat cu trofeul pentru cel mai bun artist al anului şi cea bună melodie pop, ”Peaches”. Piesa ”Your Power”, intepretată de Billie Eilish, a fost recompensată cu premiul pentru cel mai bun videoclip.

Sportivul Conor McGregor a fost la un pas să-l lovească pe iubitul actriței Megan Fox, la gala MTV Video Music Awards. Se pare că totul ar fi început după ce Machine Gun Kelly, iubitul lui Fox, l-ar fi refuzat pe luptător atunci când l-a rugat să facă o poză împreună.

După ce Conor McGregor a fost refuzat, el și-a ieșit din minți și a sărit să-l bată pe iubitul lui Megan Fox, fără să mai țină cont că se află pe covorul roșu. Gărzile de corp au intervenit imediat și i-au despărțit pe cei doi înainte ca și cineva să fie rănit în urma altercației.
